About AIDS in Long Beach
The
Data: Long Beach
HIV/AIDS Monitoring Report
The City of Long Beach
Department of Health and Human Services releases a
Report every in July/August of HIV/AIDS data collected
in the SPA 8 (Service Planning Area) which Long Beach
encompasses. Below is a general recap of some of the
highlights gleaned from the monitoring report.
Please note: That this
overview of the report should be seen in its entirety
for comparative analysis. Caution should be used
when interpreting monthly stats, because they can vary
month to month due to a variety of factors. Therefore,
looking at the long-term trends for a complete analysis
of the AIDS data is necessary. Similar caution
should be used in the interpretation of small numbers
cases, as analyses based on small numbers are more
likely to yield incorrect conclusions due to random or
systematic error.
